So after months and months of planning and careful preparation, Patagonia is almost here!! Whoo-hooo!! Sam is already out in Rio, so i’m flying out to join him in Buenos Aires tomorrow courtesy of the finest service that Delta Economy can offer. I’ve been packed for weeks already (highly unusual for me, as i’m usually still chucking stuff in a case as the car is pulling up to take me to the airport!) and think i’ve done a stellar job in condensing 3 weeks of gear into just one backpack and a daypack, including all my camera kit and tripod. Unfortunately its so bloody heavy i cant actually lift the thing, let along cart it across the Patagonian wilderness on a 5hr hike, but i’m sure i’ll figure something out!!
First stop on our hols is a couple of days in Buenos Aires, whilst Sam is still working (ha ha!) before our first internal flight to Bariloche, supposedly the St Moritz of Argentina. Apparently also reputed to be famous for its hot chocolate and cheesy fondues – sounds an awful place….
